It’s alright. Half the idiots that voted for Brexit are serial dole users anyway. Why do workers rights matter?

A case of winner takes all, I'm afraid. And Boris is a big winner. The choice looks even more stark now between alignment with Europe or alignment with America. And there'll be no prizes for guessing which the Johnson government will prefer. Meanwhile, Rebecca Long-Bailey, barely born at the time of Thatcher's first victory and with less than five years experience in Parliament looks favourite to be the person to try and unseat the rampant Boris. Wake me up in 20 years' time!

That article seems like a lot of speculation, opinion, and propaganda, rather than any facts.

I thought you lot were supposed to be the guardians of the truth?

We will find out shortly - For sure there is some speculation in there but no one in government has come out and stated that the changes mentioned are all false and the government is sticking to its previously agreed commitments

as for your guardians of the truth jibe point out a lie in the article then - you can find speculation which may in time turn out to be wrong but actual lies we prefer to leave to Boris and his allies

Plenty. Because people would be expected to prefer her over a two-term mayor of London, a former foreign secretary and a 5+ year in prime minister. Not impossible for her to have packed some competing experience into those 30 years, but in this case, she hasn't. And it's not what you or I might think about her but whether the great British public will be prepared to trust her. Can't see it myself.

One of the issues that I struggle with is that the age profile of the average Brexit supporter is on the higher side. Without being callous about this, many of them will not live to see the implications of their actions. My children and grandchildren will.

I struggle to see why a European country would choose not to align with Europe but hook up with the US, who tend to look after the US. Look at heir relationship with their North American neighbours Canada and Mexico.

Me too, I’m of the generation which has largely voted to leave Europe and for Boris, they have sold the younger generations down the river.

My eldest son has just finished his PhD in Chemistry, I think he will have to go abroad for research funding, handing the results of his work to other countries when it’s benefits should be invested here.
