For what it’s worth. Today we did well against a side that stuffed Luton. We have had troubles against teams like this lot in the past, they tried to bully us with all the pushing, shoving and some ‘tackles’ that could have caused serious injury had they contacted with the player, and went over at even the merest contact. We have now got to the international break with a side that ( for me ) is shaping up nicely and adjusting to the new management. We are in mid table having had to play the season so far with very few attacking options ( see today’s bench) , hopefully in a couple of weeks we will have far more options. Onwards and upwards! oh and not to have a go at the crowd today but we are an improving side, but quite clearly not the greatest side the world has ever seen!
whats improved?, all I saw was a side in panic mode 2nd half as Birmingham ramped up the pressure with their system of play, only thing I give these lads credit for is they always try their best , not their fault being lead by a manager with no idea
Was going to post a thread similar to yours, We should have won today, was terrible goal to concede. We had to dig deep & deep we dug, great effort by the lads, Birmingham for me were very physical but we weren't allowed to reciprocate. Don't know the rules for a foul throw but could the ref not have played on when Oduor(I think) was clean through from the Roberts throw in???
Not sure in what world “we should have won”. brum had twice the overall shots and twice the shots on goal we had, we were very lucky to get a point, again.
We did well in that we got something out of the game. Today highlighted our deficiencies, however. We are obviously lightweight up top again. We don't last a full 90 minutes. Our bench options are mediocre. We have Birmingham to thank for not punishing said deficiencies. Others will.
