No complaints, they’re a good side and seem to have our number. Glad we won’t see them in the play offs….
Jay Stansfield had William's on toast tonight. Can tell his Premier League class. Good energy by both teams. Exeter more threatening and created some great chances could have scored more to be fair. No complaints. Can see them doing the same to Plymouth. And taking something off Ipswich and Sheffield away.
They’ll be bothered v Plymouth for sure. Don’t see them getting much at the sty or Ipswich though. They aren’t the same side away.
Best team won on the night. They had some inventive front play from Stansfield and controlled the pace if the game after the first 10 minutes.
Just got back. They look to get it forward early and win the second ball (not sure we won one of those tonight), we fell into the trap of trying to do the same and we're not very good at it. Poor game from Williams who never looked to get forward, as a consequence we had nothing to offer down the right wing. Frustrating night all round, thought the ref did OK but missed a push on Tedic that would have been a foul anywhere else on the pitch. See how we respond to this defeat. COYR
Beat us fair & square both home & away. Look a good side to me & I'm surprised they’re where they are in the league based on their performances against us. Can only imagine they’ve struggled to break down the poorer sides.
From the heart of Exeter can I just say in a slightly ahem inebriated way that I agree with this thread. We have gone 12 glorious games and at some point were going to come undone. Exeter are our particular kind of kryptonite in that they have Stansfield, Nombe and a load of other nippy little quick players and extreme pace is the hidden column on our spready. We will probably lose at Lincoln for the same reason. So, fair play to the Grecians and let's not forget every other team in the top 7 still has to play them yet. The issue for us is bouncing back on Saturday - let's get behind 'em. COYR!
