well I have nothing against Accrington but we had a good day at Wembley which was enhanced by the friendliness of the fans towards each other. Bristol is just down the road for me about 45 min's ...so its one I will get to, also I remember their fans being quite friendly too....unlike their neighbours City
Oxford fans did my head in during the lead up to Wembley so in all honesty, rather Accy have gone up instead with anybody else through the play offs apart from Oxford.
Me an all, I thought we were the underdogs after looking at their forum in the week leading up to it. Glad we soon wiped the smile off their faces. One decent Oxford poster on here wasn't changing my opinion. A mob of theirs waiting outside as well looking for trouble, youngest in his 30s so no dipsticks. Here's hoping they're down next May.
Well I for one am very happy for them. Had no problems with them on the day, thought it was a great atmosphere and 2 great bunches of fans. And I thought they looked pretty good on the day as well. I expected them to complete the job and am pleased for them that they did.
Would have preferred Accy S rather than Brizzle, one of my nearest grounds, big rivals of Morecambe, and an abs shithole of a ground, esp if pissing it down...but always a great day..so let's hope they do it in the play offs......of course hopefully we wont be playing any of them..COYR
Re: well I have nothing against Accrington Who you going to see Rovers play against DT ? Might be better going to city to see Tykes
Pleased for Oxford but definitely wanted to see Accrington do it. To have had the season they've had on crowds of 2,000 is pretty remarkable. Plus if we stay down I'd like to see us try and better our 9-0 victory against them from the 1930's! Ok, it's not exactly the same club, but still.
