He basically said that we have as many injuries as the Pikeys but we're not using it as an excuse. It was another pretty good call, with some good points made.
I tried to speak a bit more monologuey (not a word like, but you get the drift!) Plus it helped being Gids taking the call, as he asks a short question and lets you answer it. Seth would have told me what HE thought... But Im getting into it now, although, my main reason for going on was to ask about the Brum match and whether they were doing it live. But he asked about the game, then Gray, then Hill and time ran out before the travel.. its pot luck when they put you thru. But Im going to keep phoning every night if I remember, because at the moment theres nobody else doing it for us.. we get a fair few after a game on P & G, but theres only 2 or 3 that call Footy Heaven, and theyre rather sporadic tbh. Part of me wants to attack em and slate their bias, but they would just cut me off, and not let me on again... maybe as I get a little more comfortable with em I could drop the odd deedar, or league one jibe in.. As for Phil, I think its a good point though. We do have crippling injuries but dont make the fuss that Donny have. And we still get results - unlike Donny, which shows SOD up very badly.. no matter his prior success, Ryan wont show him the unwavering support he keeps promising. Not if they continue their current form. But as I said on the show, I like Donny and what theyve done. It wasnt an attack on them Phil. I need to find a gap during my next call to attack the massives!
They're up sh*t creek and they think once Billy the Blunt is back it will all be fine. They're comparing it to their first season in this league where they had a remarkable second half to the season after being cast adrift, didn't they pick up the most points in the second half of the season or only a couple more teams managed a bigger second half total? that won't happen again. And to add to all this Terry Bramall (Worth £425m) and one of the two big backers on the board has said he's no longer funding them, he was plugging the £2-£3 million deficit each year, it's tough times ahead for our travelling friends, lets hope they don't get evicted like their southern "cousins".
