    not.

Too many players "missing", Devaney, Ferenchi and Howard and the woeful Werling (not missing as such but just plainly not good enough)

He brings Odejayi on for Stan, why why why did he not bring Kim on at that stage? He (Odejayi) had a great chance but was not quick enough and sadly he never will be.

On a positive note, Silva was good, Macken even better.

Eight wins needed. Plenty of time to get them.

fair enough summary except for Devaney. He didn't go missing, he had a significant amount of the ball, just couldn't put a decent cross in

As I've just said elsewhere, he spent too much time covering the woeful Werling, but also that sums his game up perfectly...no end product.

    Werling?

    How can you blame Werling?

Werling kept overlapping Devaney (which was good full back play in my opinion) but Devaney never gave him the ball. Thus everytime Devaney attempted a cross (and hit the first man 90% of the time) and mucked up, he left us exposed. Werling had advanced which I'm sure were his orders - but never got the ball, and thus he and Devaney had to race back.

I thought Werling played ok last night, wasn't excellent but put in a few decent blocks and was decent in the air. He just lacks that pace necessary to be a good full back.

    Easy..

he has never been a footballer. He cannot pass a ball three yards and his positional sense is terrible.

    RE: Easy..

    Not true.

Some of his passes are top drawer, especially long balls. I agree with one thing though, he tries to go for the killer ball far too much - and sometimes ends up losing us posession when a simple pass would be adequate. But regards to his positioning yesterday, I thought he did ok. As I said, Devaney is more to blame than him. As a winger - you are expected to get back and help your full back, much like the lad Johnson did with Simek last night. As soon as they brought Small on for Johnson, Simek was left exposed and we had far more joy. But still didn't create much.
