Souza, Werling, Nyatanga - 5/10????? So after a match report that suggests we took a 90 minute tonking, in which we only conceded 1 goal, 3 of our 4 defenders get marked 5/10? And Silva 5/10 too? Oh and Muller only got a 6, despite keeping a clean sheet for 81 minutes. Pfft!
it sounds pretty fair to........... me from listeneing to commentry and to Charlie Nicholas on sky that seems a fair report.
Those player ratings sound laughable having read the comments of Charlton fans, our fans, pardew and Charlie Nicholas's words. As you say they paint it as a totally one sided, poor game.
RE: The marks they award aren't accurate.... Those who deserve higher marks for yesterday are Da Silva, then Foster, Nyatanga and De Sousa. Muller was also impressive. Their correspondant doesn't know too much about our team or the game itself.
No and that's because it's always stereotypical, biased reporting without any proper thought or reasoned research.
Doesn't matter what the mirror says - the league table doesn't lie. What's the value of being regarded as the better team in a 1-1 draw? At the end of the day we are 34 points from safety - which is fantastic at this stage of the season. The Mirror can say what they like.
Crazy ratings How can they firstly report "impressive Muller" then at the end only give him a 6? Sheer madness.
Let them keep it up though. Just hope they stop linking all of our players with moves away from the club. I hope it doesn't have a detrimental effect on the players.

Did someone just forget to fill them in and those are the default marks?! Only explanation I can think of!
Those ratings are based on... Cristiano Ronaldo/Wayne Rooney having a stormer being 10/10. It's all relative, they say Andy Reid was a class apart and he got 7, so therefore 6 was pretty good. Different papers and indeed different journalists within one paper have different scales for their ratings. Some give 2's and 3's for being a but poor, whereas some give 6 to the majority, then 7, 8 and possibly 9 to players who stand out. Here, 5 is 'did ok but nothing out of the ordinary' and works it's way up from there. I think.
