and I have to be a Thornbury hospital for 7am - ****
Over the last few days I have had a cold - blocked nose nothing major but I have just read my admision letter and it says that If you have a cold they may not go ahead with it.
I have just rung the hospital to be told that I still go in but they will do tests to see if they can operate.
Does anybody know how sick you have to be for them not to operate?
Hopefully my blocked nose (head cold) won't delay the op cos I want to be back for the cricket season in April

Cheers mate..... second in 6 months The other wasn't a great success as I missed much of the cricket season and this football one.
Ha ha.......maybe If I'd broke my leg I might have had a chance!!! Off to bed now thanks for the support guys.......speak to you all tomorrow.
Ta again

Best of luck mate from one knackerd knee to another. Hope you are soon up and about. (seestars) (casualty)
Thanks all.. I am now back at home and its gone well Got there at 7 this morning and was in theatre at 9.45 after watching cricket in my room!!
Came round at 11am to be told the scan I had 2 months ago was wrong and there isn't a problem. The previous Op is working on the cartilage microfracture I had. I should be ready to play sport again in a couple of months - maybe even sooner.....get in there!!!
Hopefully I might be able to get a game with the rest of the BBS's when games are arranged.
I put on a brave face with the cold and called it a sniffle. The anaethatist advised that I should maybe cancel but my acting technique got me through it!!
Sorry Cazi I had a *** to celebrate and I apologise!! Make sure you don't give in to temptation!

making you watch the cricket pre op - is that what they use for anesthetic these days! Would work on me! ff Glad it went ok.
