    It depends on the type of team you are up against,

    Everton overcame Spurs yesterday quite comfortably as the style Spurs played against them was easy for them to cope with.</p>

    Also they had pace up front in Johnson so they were able to get balls into the corners and over the top to relieve the pressure.</p>

    They played a system they thought best to combat Spurs

    It loooked like Everton played Osman off Johnson as Spurs played with only 1 wide player so didnt need so many at the back. Phil Neville had no one to mark so pushed up into midfield.</p>

    3-4-1-1 Everton went as that was the best system to cope.</p>
