I want to travel by car there and back on the day. I know it might be irrational but I like to be in control if possible - have done Wembley by coach and hated it.
I have my elderly (but not infirmed) father plus other family in tow and wondered what people think would be the best suggestion regarding ease and expedience as well as safety for car.
Happy to set off at the crack of dawn to get there!

    TIA for any help.

I'm off on the train but if driving would park at Stanmore, Wembley is four stops down on the jubilee line.

There's 500 spaces in the tube car park - in all likelihood this will fill sharpish, but there's a multi-storey at the shopping centre barely a few yard down the road near sainsburys plus another commuter car park next to it. All pretty cheap for a full day, £5 or £6 ish plus the tube fare.

Travel by car and you'll be in control of nowt - trust me. If you drive anywhere near Wembley you'll be in the snarl up. Train, tube or watch at home (with a few beers) is my advice.

Many thanks for the suggestions (not going is a non-starter).
I am very interested in the Justparking idea and the website looks very helpful and not relying on tube /train is very appealing.

Park in Watford and take the train or underground.

Train from Watford Jn to Wembley Central takes 25 minutes and is £11.80 return. Plenty of street parking round Watford Jn. Wembley Central is 10 mins walk from the ground.

parkonmydrive.co.uk is worth a look, pkenty of option very close to wembley far cheaper than the official car parking and still very close so wouldnt need to faff with a train/tube

i cant for the life of me understand the fixation with "getting away after the match" , get there early and have some lunch. grab a brew or something afterwards... have a bit of tea..... then get on the road, whats an hour of youre life to worry about sitting in a car especially when we've won !!
