Park at Stanmore tube. DO NOT under any circumstances drive into Wembley.

    In 2008

I parked near Watford mainline station and took the train to Wembley Central (10 mins walk to stadium). I parked for free in a big shopping centre.

Yeah, park well away and train or tube in. Walk up to the ground from wembley park tube stn is a bit like walking the old wembley way.

Anyway, don't try and take a car within two miles of wembley, police seldom let traffic through anyway

I can vouch for Stanmore being an easy way to do it.

Me too. The trains are very frequent so getting off after the game was easy too.

Hope it goes well, Yarmtyke. Can't better the advice above.

All I'd say though, is that it's a disgrace that they rebuilt the national stadium there.

The Outpost normally take a coach down at £20 per person. Saves and hassle of driving and means you can have a few ales.

For the Carling Cup Final we parked up in Wealdstone football club and tubed it in (South Ruislip I think), about 3 stops away. Previously used Harrow on the Hill and Uxbridge but this was much better.
