Yes it has a roof, but it's a bit chocolate fire guard

"The 50,000m² roof has retractable edges on the East, South and West sections to allow sun to reach all parts of the pitch. When necessary, the roof can be closed within 15mins to cover all seating for events."

It's a roof to let the sun in or keep the punters dry. Go figure the thought process behind that one! Maybe nobody told them they were designing a stadium which would be built in England.

    define roof

do you mean a roof that completely covers the entire Stadium like the one at that cheap stadium in Cardiff

or do you mean a roof that covers just the spectators - like you get when you build a state of the art expensive modern stadium

    RE: define roof

Problem is it doesn't cover all the seats, it leaks as well and rain doesn't fall straight down (which came as a shock to the designers)
