I know a lot of people will treat it as a day out but for me it spoils the cup playing the semis there. Why couldnt it have been arranged to play them at Old Trafford and Cardiff? If we win the semi after trekking all the way down there, then we have to do it again i dont think it will feel as special as it should be. For me inflated ticket/travel/beer prices x2 just fleeces the fans. Or were the powers that be expecting Chelsea to be there?
If you are worried about the expense make some fecking sandwiches up and take a few cans with you or call in at an off licence or supermarket near the ground. We are in the semis enjoy the Day, it may be the last time some of us crusties ever go there.
Its going to be a good day out I know, but got to admit that I feel a bit of a hypocrite because I've never agreed with semis being payed at Wembley in the past and do agree that it diminishes the final if youve only just been there.
Livepool v Chelsea semi - Old Trafford two yeas ago Liverpool fans caused a lot of damage at Old Trafford. Trouble in Manchester with Liverpool fans celebrating after the game.
The semi's are played at a neutral venue, for that game it probably should have been Villa Park, but then reduced capacity.
If United have other teams fans trashing their ground and Manchester police/council say no thanks to the trouble in their town, then that sort of forces the game to be held at a truely neutral venue ... and the FA have to pay for the new stadium, which means making more use of it.

A Final is a Final and we are not there yet. As I said yesterday Wembley is just another football ground. Its the stage of the competition that matters. Did it matter that the play off final was in Cardiff? Did it hell. If the FA had had the bottle to build the National Stadium at the NEC would it have take the gloss off the FA Cup final? I think not.
Not just the expense Most people can find the money if they really want to go i guess. For me personally its more the principle. id much prefer a trip to Old Trafford/Cardiff and to me that is more fitting for the semis. Old fashioned view maybe its my personal choice. London is ***** anyway. It hasnt even got a team left in the cup
RE: Not just the expense I see your point but that Stadium has to be paid for. I didn't want it built in London.
The tickets for the England Scotland School Boy International on April 26th are £25 but you do get to see a Rod Stewart's XI v Sir David Frost's XI and the Finals of the National Seven a sides.
Wembley is just another London rip off.

Just to add Reading up on last seasons cup final £35 for cheap tickets of which there were only 4000 Rest of tickets £60 and £90 each Total ticket allocations only 25000 to each club I know the semis wont be as bad as that but the prices and the allocations were appaling Oh and get yer wallets out if you want a beer or a burger! FA CUP FINAL PRICES Burger: £5 Hot dog: £4 Pint of lager: £4.50 Pie: £4 Bottle of water: £1.80 Official match programme: £10
I went to Wembley last summer and you just have to see it for yourself - it is fantastic to see us in the FA CUP SEMI FINAL AT WEMBLEY I will pay whatever is necessary it will not happen again in our lifetime so let's enjoy it
