Thought it was a nice change to be in an environment where your treated as a responsible person. Rather than a football hooligan surrounded by immovable concrete. Bit like being in a shopping centre, rather than being told to stand in the multi-story car park.
When I was going in, this Wembley official was coming the other way. I opened the door for him and he took the door from me and said "no you're the customer, let me get it". Then he radio'd for a security dude to come and help us get through security, as our little boy was having a meltdown. Well impressed. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I have to say, a great place for an atmosphere, the low ceilings really amplified the singing, I didn't see any staff looking really grumpy, they dealt with the half time rush OK, the staff on the real ale bar were proper friendly.. And... I could read the scoreboard. Sometimes we are spoilt as Barnsley fans!
got to agree Marc the staff were the most polite and courteous I've ever come across at such an event
Oh well, you won't need to worry about going again if we reach the play off final then. Leave it to the rest of us who could put that sort of thing to one side in order to enjoy the whole occasion. What must you think of your match day experience at Oakwell, the East Stand concourse for example?
It's a fantastic stadium with fantastic (if inevitably overpriced) amenities and facilities. To say otherwise is a bit silly really.
I was impressed. Courteous staff, prices inside a little less than I expected and the view from our seats Awsome. Finally the digital livery and lighting first class. I think maybe what you were trying to say is it's never been a 1980s football stadium.
it was funny how they took Daves flag stick off him then gave him a replacement when he got inside tho :-D
Tell that to my 12 year old son. Who was in awe of seeing it up close for the 1st time and not on TV. His face when we walked through into the stadium to take our seats was something I will treasure forever. He didn't say anything just stood on his seat looked around and hugged me. Making memories that's what it's all about Sent from my SM-G800F using Forum Runner
tbh i didn't think it was ridiculously overpriced. was probably expecting worse. i paid more than a fiver a pint in some pubs in london while i was down there. was 4.50 in the green man and that was just a nightmare. if we get back down for the playoffs, i would probably go in earlier actually, and just have a couple of pints in peace..
