It's big, it's shinyand its new. And my guess is if you go there to watch a football match you will have lots of fun. But if you plan on going there for a concert don't bother. Live Earth was awful - not a reflection on the bandsper-se, just a reflection on the audio and video quality which were probably optimised for BBC, but minimised for those fans not able/willing to make the mosh pit. It wasn't just bad, it was pathetic. I haven't heard anyone else raise this point yet, so maybe it was just me and wifey and our advancing years.

I'm not commenting on the climate control pro's and cons, we have the BBS specialists for all that and I will keep my views to myself, but as a live spectacle it was ****. All I could think of was .... "which way was Craig Hignett playing when he wellied that goal in off the back off Wright"? Which was the last time I was there. I was sure it was at least the half way line (joking eastie). And don't get me started on the journey home from Wemberlee to Wembley Park undergound ....

    Memorable moments from Wembley:

    1) Craig Hignett's goal

    2) Darren Barnard's penalty miss

    3) Georgi's header and save from Wright

    4) Marcus Stewart giving it large at the Barnsley end after the game

    :

    :

    999) Live Earth

I didn't even know it was happening until Saturday

I switched the telly on, saw Phil Collinins and thought 'that's enough for me'.

    expensive

I love being told to save energy by multi-millionaire, multiple homed, globe trotting, private jet owning pop stars. It just makes so much sense.

    But you weren't told anything

The first you heard of it was Saturday when you saw Phil Collins and then you switched it off so nobody told you anything. Phil was the first act on saving you 9 hrs of being preached to.

Anyway, Phil Collins persuaded you to save energy by switching off your TV. Don't you see?

    It's a fair point

Did you go to the gig by bicycle to save energy and that?

The BBC coverage for Glastonbury sound wise was terrible, nothing like actually been there.

The 'other' stage at Glastonbury had by far the best sound quality when you were there, come back and watch it on tv and its the complete opposite. So bad my mate actually sent a complaints letter to the BBC for making Arcade Firse sound so bad (although thats the way they came across to me anyway!)

    We saw you !

The red and blue kaftan looked great and the rhythmic finger cymbal tapping to Metallica was sooo cool.

BTW. The missis is back home and giving me the right old run abart. Still in a wheel chair but by god she's making it count.
Nice to see her in one piece though.
