... with Sheff United. Pretty drab couple of hours in the freezing cold. Nobody on the pitch really looked ready to be thrown into League One football to be honest. We had a young team out, I thought the likes of Matt Smith, Conor Wilkinson etc might get a game but it was mostly Academy products. George Williams played 90 minutes, an hour at left-back then the rest at right-back. Didn't do much wrong but showed nothing to suggest Wabara or Bree are under threat. Templeton showed some quality touches on the left wing but didn't really have much influence on the game - same goes for Maris on the other side. Can see why they've been involved with the first team but there wasn't any end product from either. Digby continues to be enigmatic. He has the physique and passing skills to boss a game at this level but he just didn't stamp his authority on it. Plenty of talking and marshalling of his team-mates though which was good to hear, and I really do hope he starts to fulfill his potential. Harry White came off the bench and looks a handful physically if nothing else, although he rarely had a chance to impress with the ball at his feet. Nobody else did much of note in a red shirt. Chris Morgan was lovely persontish as ever on the away bench. And Disco looks the part on the touchline, got the hand-gestures down to a tee. Can see him being a suited and booted boss one day - next Pep amtellinthi!!
