Too early to tell either way. Early signs are quite promising but we are a young side who will have ups and downs.
we have young and promising players this season the club board expect us to be in the top 6 but in my opinion with what i have seen i will be happy with mid table i dont think we are a relegation side
your mate sounds like aright barrell We have just won our first league game be positive ffs and from what I have seen were not but who knows its a long season and they will be plenty of twists and turns but were two games into a 46 game season
Re: your mate sounds like aright barrell If we were a relegation side we wouldn't have won today.. We'd have had to wait til mid October. Plus we'd have lost our first match 4-1 or summat
At this moment in time, we're a young side, a team in transition. I would say we'll not be near the bottom at all, but we'll not be pushing near the top as well - this season. It'll take time but maybe next season we'll be better placed to get in the top 6.
Almost certainly right the expansive style of football we are trying to play will be hard to live with 'on our day'. If we had a spate of injuries in key positions we might struggle to cope but the same is true for most teams in this league. Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk HD
I don't know how anyone can make definitive claims on how the club will finish this season. The rebuilding and development of the squad hasn't finished yet, the style of play which the manager wants from the team is still work in progress, too. Personally, I'll continue to enjoy our victories, look for positives in our defeats, take pleasure in watching the team as a whole & individuals in particular and enjoy our still developing style of football, which I've found pleasing to the eye even if others haven't.
Danny knows that the difference in this league is a bit of quality up front. We have Jennings.........and if Treacy and Lita fulfil their potential then in those 3 alone we have enough fire power for promotion. And that's not including Hemmings, Winnall and a possible new target man. You only have to look at what Coventry had last season to understand whats wanting in this league..........i.e. relatively poor at the back but brilliant going forward Another example would be what Danny had at the Blunts..........average solid team with just one bit of quality up front..........unfortunately for them that bit of quality got banged up and because of that they missed out on promotion
Are we b0llocks a relegation team, Danny building a team and the sooner some t- cakes realise this they may calm down a bit. 2 people were doing my tree in yesterday wanting Wilson out and saying flitcroft and hill are better managers !! Deluded I tell you. These young lads are for the future, yes we may get a spanking or 2 and we may have to grind results out but we will be a better team and club for it, just don't know how long we'll be able to hold on to Hourihane because he's a classy player.
I think we will be nearer the top 2 maybe even in it,gonna take a while this season need patience but once we get motoring...,
I think it shows how much of an unknown quantity we are as a team. Lots of players who'd walk into other League One sides but as a team are they going to gel? Always a risk bringing so many new players in, but it was badly needed and I'm sure Danny enjoyed the freedom of being able to assemble a team he wanted. Not many managers get that freedom, albeit on a reduced budget. Key for me is central midfield. If Hourihane, Berry, Bailey and Digby can form partnerships and play well we have enough quality to keep goals out, provide them out wide and put them away up front.
