4-5-1 worked a lot better when LJ first arrived because we had Waring holding the ball up, bringing others into the game and generally throwing his weight about. We all know Winnall is a great striker but he can't possibly do the same job that George did. I would love to get Waring back but in the mean time we have a 6 ft 4 18 goal striker on the bench who describes himself as a target man. Surely if we are to persist with this formation it should be Smith leading the line? I've always had the feeling that Winnall doesn't fit into Johnsons philosophy and he is only played to appease the fans.

He is starting to lose the fans by losing games and playing boring stuff he needs to appease them by winning games if that means dropping winnall so be it.
