I agree, I hated the sticky threads on the other BBS, I made a point of never reading them, when I'm on my netbook with a small screen it's just a pain in the backside. I would like to propose either banning them outright, allowing no more than one at a time, or having a flashing banner for them in the space above the forum. I would prefer all the charity stuff should just have it's own forum away from the main BBS.

Well Im wondering if we will need them less on here. When we set the landing page to http://v2.barnsleyfc.org.uk/content.php then news items important stuff can go on there.

    What's everyone's thoughts on that?

Owts better than cluttering top of the page.

Put em on here boot em to top every now and again then instead of asking to be sticky ask to go on Home page.

I dont have a problem with stickies (not just becuase that ones mine) if they are used as quick reminders and then removed,
the stickies on the old board were up for months on end, and took up quite a lot of space.

There not as intrusive on this board either especially in threaded mode
