Thought we played OK in phases. Was expecting us getting a hiding. Still got naff all up front though.
If we had a decent striker we'd have won today. Collins wasn't tested before or after their goal. We had around half a dozen chances we should have scored with, starting with Iseka when the keeper pulled off a great save. Cole made a Champions League and Premier League player look like a slow past it old man and Cahil deservedly got sent off. Talking to a Bournemouth fan on the way to the ground he said I'll tell you what will happen we will play well the first twenty minutes then nothing. I would say he is pretty accurate.
Sad reflection on our predicament that a team feel that once they go a goal up they can coast to a win because we lack the tools to hurt them but are always likely to gift them another goal without them having to work for it
Looked ok to me on iFollow. Imagine how much better we would have been with Morris and Woodrow up front, a pacy winger and foot on the ball experience in midfield. Great to finally see Wolfe and Marsh get their chance. Very promising both of them.
Are people forgetting how many chances Bournemouth slandered in first 30 minutes?.....if the windy conditions hadn’t been a leveller today I am afraid to say we would have been hammered.
Was expecting Bournemouth to hammer us and we’ll prepared to come away after a defeat. I’d vastly overestimated how good Bournemouth were and they definitely didn’t deserve 3 points so somehow I have come away disappointed at a 1-0 defeat I think had we had Morris we may we’ll have got something from the game 7 shots on target to their 3 but we had the luck that bottom sides always enjoy Still don’t see where our next win is coming from as I don’t think the players do either
In some ways it made the neglect even more annoying. One or two proper signings and it could have been so different.
I was expecting a much bigger win for Bournemouth but I thought we deserved something from the game in the end. Difficult conditions I know but they didn’t look like a side 3rd in the league.
Only as many as we squandered in the 2nd half. So 'if it wasn't for the conditions' we'd have drawn 15-15.
I agree they only had 3 on target but that was through inept finishing in first 20 minutes!...they should have been 4 up mate ......longer it went on yea I agree we could have snatched something but my opinion is that they strolled it first half hour and maybe their complacency set in and gave us a chance, I am usually an optimist but this lot we’ve got just ain’t up to it.
What, Bournemouth played with the wind at their backs first half and almost took full advantage of all the wind- assisted errors (and their were some)their first goal being one of those errors. Their was no leveller today
You ever played in wind mate?......when it’s as bad as it is today it can be nothing else, unless you know different?
Sorry pal but I do usually stick up for reds, just my opinion today, maybe I am getting bit fed up of losing like most are....
Yes I have, and watched today as Bournemouth used the wind at their backs well in the first half, which caused quite a few errors and uncertainty in our defending. The wind actually dropped a little in the second half, but we didn’t seem to be using it anyway. However, if we talk about coulda shoulda, let’s do it for both teams. I thought our 2nd half performance deserved a point today, but you don’t always get what you deserve
You know we've played alright when the opposition are finding excuses. I don't think the pitch looked bad.
