The usual solid Roberts and Mawson, but a terrific show from Scowen and my motm, Williams. I thought he was fantastic, he did everything so well.
Back 5 surely. Adam has been immense. He has had a fantastic season. Him, Alf, Robbo, Williams, Conor, Marley, SSW. Some great seasons there. If it wasn't for that bloody 8 game streak ....... Sent from my SM-T800 using Tapatalk
Remember when LJ decided ssw, Roberts n Davis weren't good enough for our starting 11... Worst omission in my opinion was shattering Roberts confidence after a fantastic start to season by dropping him for no apparent reason. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free
short memories. he was dropped as he was playing badly, to be fair to him most of them were. to say LJ shattered his confidence is totally wrong however
Johnson changing the back 4 and keeper every week shattered all their confidences. Worst manager we've ever had
Had a blinder against Everton... Got dropped next game. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk - now Free
For all we know, dropping Robbo might have been the making of him. It looked to me, that it had all come to him a bit quick.
We weren't as bad then as we were under Lee 'Sam's a midfielder' johnson until the clown bowed to the pressure of 10,000 people
He was that bad he started us on a lengthy unbeaten run, took us to the jpt final and then got offered a job in the league above. Where he has also done a decent job Sent from my Kestrel using Tapatalk
And you've omitted Adam Hammill from your list. We have a cracking spine to the side, if we can just keep a hold of them. Sent from my I-Oven using the internets
Was he really that bad? He looked like a young lad who'd not played many games at this level before. No surprise really considering that's what he is. He showed glimpses of being a quality player mixed in with the odd flash of inexperience. Sadly it seems that Lee Johnson took too much notice of his mistakes and dropped him. But he needed to make those mistakes, to learn from them. Had he not made them when he did, and had he not got back in the team, he'd have been a far worse player now than he is. His game has come on leaps and bounds like I always suspected it would, from that first time I saw him play in pre-season against Huddersfield. Had he played the entire season, and been allowed to continue his development without being dropped at the first sign of inexperience, I reckon he'd have won player of the year. The same goes for George Williams too to be honest. It just goes to show that there's some fantastic talent in non league football that may never get their opportunity. These 2 lads have been fortunate and are repaying the people who put faith in them. Sent from my I-Oven using the internets
