Funny how after a couple of pre-season games most people thought he was our best player yet now he's the number one target for stick. After having been to Rotherham I was very concerned about his lack of defensive ability and couldn't believe how many people thought he looked good. He might be okay as a winger but he has less discipline than Hecky at full back.
To be fair most people did say exactly that. He did look good going forward, but he has never yet looked like a defender. Now he is up against Championship players he does look out of his depth in all areas but I suppose he is still getting settled in etc like the rest of them.
not a FB wingback IMO and lets be honest we dont know what daveys next tacticla change will be so lets wait till hes settled in a system (pref 3-5-2) for at least 10 games and i believ he will hold his own
Those are,nt squad numbers on the players backs they,re target numbers thats why Colgan is and always will be No 1
