Oh what fun going to a ground where fans chuck bottles at coaches and fans come onto the pitch to try and attack players. Hammers must have the worst fans in the country for bother surely overtaking Stoke now.
The fan that came on the pitch tonight could have had a knife or anything. I wonder what course of action the police will have took to the fans throwing bottles at the team coach.
Liverpool is horrible unless you are scouse or from Eire. You should know being the fountain of all knowledge. YOu buying friday?
Friday? I didn't go to Liverpool in the premiership so missed all the trouble that went off. Most of Ireland are Liverpool or Man Utd fans anyway.
Aye I drink in there sometimes. You know someone who works there? Going a little downhill though these days.
I found them lovely when we were in the Prem My day at Upton Park was brilliant. Superb fans, very helpful and obliging, couldn't do enough for us.
Working class heroes like we all are from round here.
I sat watching Chris Morgan make his debut, he was 'man of the Match' although we let 6 goals in.
He fought like a tiger, bless him.
Now look at him , he still can't wait to see our result.
He's Barnsley through and through.
Nowt wrong with Hammers' fans - salt of the earth in my experience and ever since then when I have met them

Best bet is Sunday night. Prefer going in when the assistant manager is on and not the manager. Plus it's got better staff that night and it's really quiet so you kinda have the place more or less to yourself. Other week mind it had sold out of most of the pumps so it wasn't the best.
Looking good for the London Tykes If we can stay up that Watford, West Ham and Charlton ... or Fulham for us to play. t Think the Blunts should just about avoid the drop Will be even more gutted if we go down and miss all those away days to London
I went to Upton Park in 1991 (I think) and stood in the away end as I only decided at the last minute to go when staying in Milton Keynes. If I remember rightly we were 2-0 up and lost 3-2. The reds fans at the other end of the ground were rocking and I was bricking it. Felt pretty lousy when the third went in and I had no choice but to keep my gob shut as we were pushed around in the melee of celebrating hammers. parked the car in a really dodgy side street as well - I was a bit naive in my younger days. One of my main memories was being quite surprised, when driving around the area looking for somewhere to park, at the overwhelming percentage of the non football fan locals walking around minding their own business that were black (told you I was naive), and then getting to the ground to find the National Front selling their rag outside. Bizarre.
Most frightened I've ever been at a footy match Early 80's, my mate was a Southampton fan and we went to see them at Upton Park. It was a mass riot and wasn't even mentioned in the papers or on telly.
As you were saying... obviously didn't affect the players...
http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/eng_prem/6570655.stm

West Ham fans always seem to be the worst with returning players ... ... most club fans give their ex-players some stick when they return with other clubs but I always get the impression the West Ham fans WOULD actually murder them if they got the chance !!
The abuse directed at the likes of Ince, Lampard etc seems to be way over what is normal, obviously no player should ever play for another club after West Ham ..
