Is it time to build/upgrade the west stand.I think yes while we've got some money.I'm not sure if there is still grants available from the football league.I think going forward it has to be done at some stage so why not now.The extra income which we would get by increasing ticket sales to teams like Leeds/Wednesday etc would surely make the project feasible. Thoughts please.

no,financially i cant see it making a blind bit of difference to us as a club, would much rather see the cash being spent keeping the squad together.

Genuine question, would you pay for an extension building on a council house

We wouldn't be any more likely to use the seats than we do now. It isn't safety issues that's preventing seats being used on the North Terrace. It's extra steward and police costs

I know what you mean but there will come a day when it will be totally out of use.Players may come and go but a new stand will be here for decades hopefully making extra income for the club.

I'd get it built asap. Once it is complete with a proper media centre etc and more bores, the ground would be fit for purpose for a few decades.

What would you build another east stand ? A one tier a bit smaller ? Or take side off Ponty fill corner in and follow it round ?, would it have the changing rooms and tunnel ? Executive boxes ? .

Yes a smaller v comfortabler stand housing all the facilities ,changing rooms, boardrooms, media, reception etc, a with exec boxes ,make a section able to separate fans so if in event of big game home fans can go in north with fewer away fans in West etc.also better dugout .

Same as the east. A smaller one is building for our current crowds, a bigger one is building for the future and shwng ambition. It would also mean significantly more space for revenue generating facilities.

We don't need a bigger stand now but one period of success and we do. Plus a bigger stand means there would be more chance of hosting prestigious games. And as I said, it provides far more room for revenue generating facilities.

    1) More corporate boxes especially modern ones that are bigger and have balconies so people can get a better view.

    2) Hire out corporate boxes for business meetings, speeches, training courses etc.

    3) Possibly look into more events taking place at Oakwell like during the summer. I doubt we'd get massive stars but could still put together a good enough music line up to make it profitable.

    4) Look into building a proper supporters club out back of it that can be open daily.

West stand looks dated now whatever financial implications it needs improvement. An excellent suggestion and a possible tribute to Rimmo .

I don't think we have a full case for it at the moment

We have a large enough all seater as it is.

If we got to the promised land. Then yes extra revenue makes sense to do it then. But not yet

We've had success and brought in much more revenue from sales then ever by the sounds of it.

No need to squander it just yet.

Let's see how we fair in a couple more years before embarking in this.

I think all of us would love to see a new West Stand but can only see it happening if we were promoted to the Premier League and stayed at least 2 seasons. I think a more pressing issue is the state of the training pitches which don't look good to me.
