Perhaps it's me getting lazy in my old age but I find myself sporting several days growth or a full grizzly beard more than I'm clean shaven. I put this partly down to not being @rsed to wet shave every day but also down to the cost. Do I continue with hacking my face to bits or swap to a dry shaver, something I've never used in 20 years of shaving? What's your preference gents? And ladies!!
Gonna stick a vote in for dry shaving, it nips a bit but you get used to it and it's obviously a lot cheaper than keeping a wet razor maintained. Although to be honest I use a beard trimmer now on the shortest setting as I prefer a bit of stubble.
I use hair clippers now with no guard and do my head and face every evening before showering I've been doing this about 3 years now. But when I was wet shaving I found blades last a lot longer if you use foam instead of gel
Wet shave for me, although obviously I don't have to do my face. Dad and hubby both opt for dry though.
Wet shave with soap and a brush. I was using a double edge razor (1950s style) for a good while, and it is an exceptionally close shave, but you can't rush it or you hammer your face and leave your nose in the sink. I'm back on Gillette now because after a while I couldn't be arsed any more. I've never used a dry shave so can't compare.
Braun electric razor for me. Wet shave gives me a rash and is very uncomfortable on thick growth. Not as close, but I prefer it that way.
