Our three goals in the closing stages, very welcome though they were, can't hide the fact that we've been beaten by a much better team today. MK Dons were quicker, stronger, superior. No excuses. We now know how much we need to up our game if we're thinking of challenging for a Play Off place.
We have no physical presence whatsoever - against teams like MK dons we are going to struggle to compete
We have no physical presence but we were not beaten by virtue of their being a more physical team today.
Personally thought it was a pretty even and entertaining game for the first 25 mins. Had we scored when we probably should have when we hit the post who knows!! After there first though, they totally bossed it and we crumbled in the 2nd half which was very worrying. 3 late goals when there players had already started showering shouldn't disguise the fact we still have a lot to learn. A specialist right back and a experienced centre midfielder is desperately needed.
Add to that shopping list a dominating centre back. If our captain can't provide leadership to his defence he'll struggle to impose any belief elsewhere in the team.
It's easy to out football a team when they keep giving you the ball in dangerous positions. A lack of doing any of the basics today is what cost us. We need to look at our performance rather than anything they did.
Aye possession squandered far too often by sloppy passes and paying far too much respect to the opposition didn't help.
Poor decisions being made by players who'd had their confidence badly shaken by a better team. I'm still going to be patient with this set of lads who were nowhere near the standard they're capable of today.
4 man midfield completely overrun and as a consequence devoid of options with the ball. Can't believe Danny didn't change formation at half time. Out thought today by a good team.
