We've discussed this before, but where the 'eck did it come from and what's it's real name?

I've only ever known it as 'cheese and egg in t'oven'- someone, somewhere must know it's origin, surely?

I wor almost brought up on that. Cheese n egg int oven. Absolutely delicious. Could smell it from miles around. Oh the memories.

Same here, love. Sometimes mi mam would put some sausage on it too. I used to leg it home from school when I knew it was cheese n egg night
