Calling everyone a lovely person, his side improving (which they have over the past few games despite results), solid away performance and unexpected point. I'm back in September. Ureds.
Except West Ham. There's no need for this antagonistic stance from Keef because he is getting support from a lot of fans and support that has been excellent to be honest given our run.
The support for him is almost unanimously good and unprecedented. With the run we have had there would have been songs for him to go at at least 85 of the other 91 clubs. He's successfully lowered expectations to the point where we don't seem to mind being trounced four nil AT HOME by a decent Championship club. He needs to get focussed on who he is buying - well, acquiring - in the summer and quick because if he doesn't find some quality quickly it will be like Davey's start in '09 and then he will know what actual pressure is like when we're bottom.
Two worst home defeats since Nigel Spackman is supposed to be an improvement. Chuff knows what will happen if we start to decline.
I think you've hit the nail on the proverbial. If this forum is in any way representative, the club and its manager have managed to lower majority expectations to an unprecedented level. The common belief used to be that the club '...doesn't want to be promoted because it would cost too much' now it appears to be '...we really can't afford to compete in this division and we should just be thankful to be here regardless of results/performances'
I think that's fair. People have said a lot of things about him on here but I'm starting to come to the conclusion that he's a psychological genius and a half decent football manager. He's got to prove that he just didn't get lucky inheriting Butterfield at the right time and picking Vaz up for nothing. It'll be difficult because that's how all players will be judged but either way it'll be interesting.
