    Leon Mettam was available for free after Worksop Town resigned from the Unibond a League. He was top scorer last season with 45 goals and has 66 in 80 for them. At 27 he has the right mix of youth and experience. He would have been a fantastic signing but unfortunately Tamworth have got in there first.

    Missed opportunity in my opinion.

    If he'd have been 18/20 years old he's exactly the sort of player we want to be looking at with a record like that playing on them pitches against misters but at 27 he's no good to us unfortunately
