We've scored in every league game.

    So if we'd kept clean sheets we'd have a 100 % record.

Now, can someone send a message down to Oakwell that the defence needs bolstering ? Ta. Cos if we come up against anymore Stoke - esque sides, we can get ready for some heavy defeats. We won't always be able to take advantage of an opposition sitting back and their manager dropping a bollock with his substitutions.

    Your lover boy scored

Good goal too. He changed the game, couldn't see us getting owt until he came on.

We need another centre half. FACT of all FACTS. But Ritchie will argue that Kay is back from suspension for the next game so we're reight. We're not reight, we're not reight at all.

Barnsley fans who get on at Wright are c

    unts. End of.

Now then, the defence imho as a fan, is disorganised. Now whether that's down to the players selected not being up to it, or adjusting to playing against better opposition I don't know. But I would venture that we need an experienced, organising commanding centre half in there. Don't ask me who to drop, cos I don't know.

It does look like we need a quality organiser at the back.

This job can be done by the goalie.

Is Colgan much of a shouter?

If the goalie marshalls his defence , then the defender has fewer decisions to make.

Don't criticise Colgan. Tommy Wright or Danny Nardiello are fair game but Colgan? No way.

unfortunately we've only scored first ONCE and conceded first FIVE times

and when we did score first (Soton) we held onto the lead for all of 3 minutes

points lost 2 (from Soton game)

points gained 7 (3 from Colchester 3 from Hull 1 from Stoke)

lesson for this week-defence to concentrate very hard in first half

Perhap we could ask the club to 'lend' the other team 2 goals

i.e. put the score up as 0 - 2 on the scoreboard at the start, then we could score three, the oppostion could equalise 3 minutes or so after our third. Then at the final whistle we deduct the 2 goals we 'lent' them, hey presto a 3 - 1 home win!

    So in fact . . .

. . . we've got more points and more points per game when we concede first. So perhaps that concentrating in the first half might not be such a good idea after all.

    I love statistics, me.
