Some of the folk on here should stick themselves in a jar.

We aren't relegated. We aren't cut adrift. There's still hope.

Worst Barnsley team ever? - you all have to be joking. Get a grip, stop whining and start getting behind the team when they need it most.

Not the worst ever maybe, but in terms of Reds teams that have played in the second tier of English football they've got to be the worst team in front of goal. 24 goals in 24 matches, including 5 in one match. Points win prizes, goals win football matches...

If hill goes do we cheer spineless players who start trying after we get rid, players who put their dislike or indifference to the manager before the club that pays them or the fans relying on them.what happens to those feckless waste of spaces.

Hill is not killing our club, or at least not single handedly. There are wider issues and other factors. In no particular order :
    * The quality of football on offer.
    * The out-of-touch, unambitious hierarchy
    * 5k missing supporters who "used to" form the core
    * The unlevel playing field in the Championship

Managed to get three of my pet hate whines as replies in one thread!

    1. manager is killing the club - so the club dies if we get relegated? Get real

    2. the players are "spineless" when we lose - Total crap!

    3. "it's the fans' fault" - just because someone says get behind the team

This is the worst team I ever remember watching. If 2012 were a league season we'd be relegated with a much lower points total than in any season since, well, I don't know when, long before I started going. We've played 46 league games in 2012 gaining just 36 points. That's only one point more than what we achieved from our 38 games in the Premiership. It's 12 points less than we managed in 2001/02 when we were last relegated from this division. Of course, that doesn't make us the worst Barnsley team ever, I've heard we were no great shakes in the 60s and early 70s, but I've only been going since the late 70s, so this is the worst team that I've ever seen.

If that makes me a pansy then so be it. I'm only saying it like I see it. It won't stop me going. It won't stop me buying a ticket for the cup game against Burnley or buying a season ticket next season, whichever division we're in. But I'm doing that because I'm a Barnsley fan and I'll always go. The fact of the matter is we're utter rubbish and I haven't seen worse, even if we do complete 200 passes per game in our own half.

So you think it is just for you to moan at others?
It is for everyone to have their say, if you dont like it. dont use it, but to bleat about others using it is just a tad ironic don`t you think?

    * The quality of football on offer.
    Hills fault

    * The out-of-touch, unambitious hierarchy
Agreed but hill is part of this with his regular out of touch comments about the club and his negative unambitious comments and tactics.

    * 5k missing supporters who "used to" form the core
Caused by Hill and the board

    * The unlevel playing field in the Championship
Disagree. It is 11v11 and in actual fact WE have been part of the premiership and benefited from its money. Some clubs spent that money better and managed their clubs more wisely, this is the clubs fault, nobody elses.

Completely agree. I've only been going since the late 90s and I can say this is the worst team, and there's been some shocking players along the way!!

Why does some fans still support Hill and think he's going to keep us up? What else has he got to do to prove to you lot he's taking us down.. Just look at the league table, that tells it all... We need a run of results to get us clear and to get to the magical figure of 50pts, but come on, we are not no where near enough to string a run together... To me the game at peterborough will be massive, but with the results they have got in the last few weeks, they will be flying with confidence.
Some fans are int he denial stage of relegation and that Hill isn't going to save us, I got past that stage weeks ago to be honest..
I hope Im wrong but division 1 is waiting for us, to me the only way out is to give a manager with different ideas a go... Because Hill's Barnsley record isn't good enough.

Don't understand any of that! No the board is not just for me to moan at others and I wasn't bleating - just giving my opinion (is that double irony?). I just think folk go over the top and say extreme things when we lose.

See you were doing the exact thing you were moaning about !
I agree, but I also think it was way over the top on saturday too. The pro-Hill lot really screamed and shouted because we had won ONE GAME in TWELVE!! Then they moan about the ones that want Hill out after a loss! No more people wanting him out, just a heck of a lot more opportunities to post!
Anyway, lets look forward to 3 points on Saturday, then maybe the pro lads can shout a bit more again, I could get used to that feeling!!

Honestly, you think we stand a chance on saturday? lol
I hope we do win, but looking at the fixture's, i honestly think we're fecked...

    hope that makes sense :)

OK. I was there in the late 60s and early 70s. 10 out of the first 14 years I watched the Reds they were in the bottom tier. Never remember moaning, even at a 0-0 against (I think) Hartlepool where neither team had a shot on target. Great times!!

I don't think the football we are playing at the moment is any where near as bad as the Spackman tripe followed by the Parkin/Hodges super teams.

I can't say I like Hill as a person and I am not unrealistic about our chances of getting the 9 or 10 wins we might need to stay up. However, I don't think all is lost - even with Hill.

Hill isn't the main problem with the club - I've been a consistent critic of Mr (internet is the worst thing that has ever been invented) Rowing. Until things are sorted out on that level we will probably continue to slide. It's killing the club.
