Last week, Barnsley trounced top half Leeds and:

*Hassell had a blinder defensively and going forward
*Foster was solid and was hailed as one of most consistent performers in the league
*Addison was a brick wall and stopped everything Leeds threw at us

Suddenly, 7 days later we lose to PREMIERSHIP opposition (Just 2 changes to the side that beat Aston Villa this week) and:

*Hassell and Foster are garbage and need replacing quick
*Addison has never been a midfielder and should be sent back to Derby!

I can't believe what I'm reading! Let's keep our expectations realistic Barnsley fans!

We have a very small squad and if about 8 or 9 of the starting XI play to the absolute best of their ability then we will have a chance of winning games. If they don't, we will struggle.

Going out of the cup to a very tidy Swansea side isn't the worse news of the season. I'm confident Barnsley will finish 15th or 16th, and, particularly considering Butterfield's loss, that won't be a bad effort!

    Rant over!

    You can't be serious.

Most of the fickle half wits that infest this place have less brains than a testube of jiz.

    You can't educate pork

I was more disappointed with the performance against the Pikeys. Definetely need more defensive cover. Always going to be a challenging season the cups a bonus if you get a good run. Perkins,Drinkwater and Butterfield have been been major reason for mid table respectively but now two of them are out of contention.

Which two are out of contention, mate?

Butterfield granted. But I imagine Perkins & Drinkwater will probably be regular starters for the rest of the season (injuries & suspensions apart).
Or have I missed something? Which, knowing me, wouldn't be surprising!

The result against Leeds United was a blip in our recent form of five defeats in our last six matches. Also in the last eight seasons of the FA Cup we've only got past the round we've come in at on two occasions.

Thing is there's a difference between disappointed and berating players just because we lost, we all feel disappointed when we lose but some of us need a large dose of realism, I for one am more than happy with the way things are going at the mo.

    Terrific! Very lol.
I continue to infest this place and they (the fickle half wits) drive me mental but I still keep coming on....that's no ref to the jiz by the way.

Sorry I thought Drinkwater was injured and had gone back to Manchester.

    Ah, right. Okay mate.

Thanks for that. It doesn't take much to confuse me these days. Which is why my wife rarely lets me out in public.:D:D

Said the same thing last night, as did a few others. I know this place can be negative at times, especially when we lose, but some of the **** being posted last night about Hassell and Foster in particular was unbelievable.
