As we get a share of the gate receipts (and I live 15 mins away) I guess I can justify going to see us beat the club-stealing barstewards.

I could even go in the home end and deny an MK Dons fan a seat. That'd make me feel much better about it.

Preliminary Conversations in our house went like this...

"Milton Keynes, never been there... wonder how long it takes on the train"....
"You don't go to Milton Keynes on the train... it's just off the M1"
"I know, but more fun on the train..."
"It's only two hours in the car... it's an epic journey on the train... do you know where the ground is ... right by the m1"
" No it isn't, it's in Bletchley, I think there's a station there....(trainline produces 2 hours 20 mins, Sheff to Bletchley, change Tamworth and Milton Keynes).... ooh look at that I can be there in 2hours 20 mins.... "
"Right, I'll leave you to it then..."

    Round 1 to me....:)

I'm in the same boat mate. One of my best friends is a Wimbledon fan, I've been to see them a fair few times mow and have always said I'd never give them a penny. Tough one

How is it tough? 50% gate split. Staying away will hurt Barnsley more. We need your support

If it was a league game there'd be absolutely no chance I'd go. As it's a cup game I'm undecided.

    so, your options are: -
    1) go to the game, support your Club and increase our chances of getting through to the last 8
    2) stay away, so you don't upset your mate

    tough one..

I could help the club in a million and one other ways. I'd rather go and donate the equivalent ticket price.

And it's nothing to do with upsetting anyone, more about standing by my beliefs. They shouldn't exist as a club, least not in the football league. No right what so ever

Like I say, it's a tough one personally, maybe slightly altered by my support of AFC. I'm very much undecided about my final decision, and I do agree with a lot of your points.

As with you, Barnsley mean everything to me, and I do want to support them whenever possible. I'll have time now to think and decide, we'll see

What if the players had this attitude? I think we should all go and support the Reds - that comes first, beat MK badly, knock them out of the cup and derail their league campaign.

AFC won't thank us for losing to those frauds.

Same here. They shouldn't exist so I feel like I am betraying my beliefs if I go and give them money even if BFC get a percentage of it back.

Don't waiver Thrappo. You are right not to go. I'll choose to spend money going to watch us play at Blackpool rather than soiling myself at that stadium.
