This morning formula 1 held a minutes silence for the missing plane led by all the drivers lining up at the front of the grid. Well thats what they sid anyway. In reality they had a 28 second silence with about 2 drivers there and the entire grid just walking around ignoring it and the fans in the stands walking around, sitting down and waving to cameras Football fans get stick but at least we know how to do things with respect
Didn't the BBC just announce the minutes silence before it actually happened? It seemed well behaved when it was announced at the track. It just seemed the BBC had expected it before and cut their commentary and all we saw was people waving and continued talking and screaming. After some time it was announced over the tannoy and everyone seemed to be quiet from what I watched. Before the actual track announcement I was thinking it was the worst observed one minutes silence ever.
I watched it on sky and they too announced it early but from the official on track announcement to it ending was 28 seconds and people in the background were walking around with the drivers nowhere in sight. It cut to the crowd and people were walking around with a lot taking photos. Therws even a group stood laughing. Then when it ends there is just one person audibly clapping. I thought i must have got it wrong so being the sad barsteward that i am ive just watched it again
