We beat Birmingham convincingly and all of a sudden there seems to be a 'Hill is fantastic' reaction. Where was the reaction to what had been achieved last season? Where was the positive reaction after Vaz Te, Butterfield and Drinkwater all went walkies after January? There was hardly any because supporters are too short-sighted, can't see development if it bangs on their door and they live on the immediate, instant-win world. I would like to think the Reds will win at the weekend and it will help me down several pints if they do but if they don't I won't about turn on the manager like some no doubt will and think Hill is useless based on one match. I know Hill is the right bloke for the job because I can see, long-term, what is happening to the club. The Birmingham result is a reflection of that but there will be ups and downs along the way and surprising defeats too. The main thing is the gradual re-building of the club on sod-all money.... Excellent so far regardless of Saturday's result!!

Perhaps people were too worried about the collapse on form and technical relegation?

Can't we just basque in the glory of the result yesterday without folk saying they knew all along Hill was the best thing since sliced bread?

Did you read the posts on here in the second half of last season? If you did you'd have seen that most people were always fully behind Hill. Most fans can see the bigger picture and rate Hill and Flicker very highly.

So you're upset by the fact that people are praising Hill for yesterday's performance because you were praising him when we were awful?

Our record at the end of the last season didn't leave much cause for anything but optimism, even if you have the utmost faith on Hill

    Re: Help needed

There was loads of doom of gloom because he ran out of ideas very quickly in the second half of the season after we lost our best players and he brought in a lot of duff loanees who didnt make a blind bit of difference. Davies on the wing, didn't help either. He blatantly wasn't the new messiah that a lot of people were proclaiming in the first half of the season.

It looks like he's learnt a bit from that and there are several contributory factors to the improvement weve seen this season, that he can lay claim to either in full or in part. Such as, the maturing of some of last years lower league
signings, some good youngsters coming through, some astute signings and most Importantly a new confidence and belief amongst the players.

The signs are good, the football is exciting, I'm full of enthusiasm, but then again I thought the same last November. The proof will be in the pudding during feb to may 2013

there are always testicles... until irradiation of water makes everyone sterile.... Am only trying to put things in perspective at the end of the day (football cliche). Barnsley were great yesterday but also were great at Blackburn apparently and got beat. So...... my point is really yes let's do the woo hoo bit after a great win but lets also look to the long term. If we lose against ipswich (and they will be having a go) will we be crap all of a sudden? Personally methinks not but some people will have a pop!
