When I first started work

As a nipper in the Payroll Dept . , two names that came directly after one another on the Alphabetical Listing were a Mr Balls and a Mr Ballogh ( pronounced Ballack ) .

    Ama Mistry

Worked at Cameron Iron in Leeds.

Used to call him up "Can I speak to Mr Mistry?" and without fail the retort was "Sorry, I dont know where he is"..made me chuckle at the time.

Coincidently I now work with Mr Mistry but his first name is Bharat.

    I've met an Annette Curton

Wrong spelling but sounds the same.

There's a Wombwell lad called Wayne Kerr, whose school days we made a misery.

Other than that, there was a bloke I met in Newcastle calledChristopher Wancké - He swore blind it was pronounced "Vens-kay". Sadly I only met him after I had to read his name out from a list, in acrowded room so you can guess what a firstimpression I made...

Cliff Anger - 100% genuine, retired from our place a few years ago ..

... MUST have been deliberate by his parents - if you had a surnname like 'Anger' the one name you would not call your son would be 'Cliff' surely ?
