"England has never been viewed as part of Europe," he told BBC Radio 5 Live

    It's not arrogance

England has collectively some of the best stadiums in the world - we have everything in place and can hold a tournement of this size!

In terms of being part of Europe - we should have adopted this stance back in 1939 and left em to it! They wanted us to be part of Europe then !(england) :D

No idea. Definitely not at work, though. Honest.

    Talks a lot of sense.

Selective quotes at the start of the piece make it sound a lot worse than it is. He's right in a lot of things he says.

    I think that's true

Just bad reporting. I just hope it's the important things that are taken into consideration (facilities, haven't hosted cup in 50 years, history etc.) rather than bizarre perceived ideas of arrogance and not being part of Europe. It riled me a bit to hear that the US are putting in a rival bid. Why the chuff should a non-footballing nation with a poor national side host it again when they hosted it in 94? If they get it, it really would hint that FIFA have sold out.
