Went to Parkgate earlier with the wife and we passed a bloke Nr Rawmarsh bus depot, logging all the busses in and out and taking photo's!! I've seen one also in Tarn doing the same thing, they look like a train spotter crossed between a bird watcher. Very amusing ff
I knew a guy who used to bus spot Until then a Bus was a bus - (it still is) but for a time I caught myself noting the make apparantly Dennis Dominators were the best Leyland Olympians were common as pigs~it and AAArrrgggg!!!!
Saw 2 blokes doing the same thing in Fitzallen Square in sheff this dinnertime. With buses going in about 5 different directions at the same time, they looked like Jack Russells outside a supermarket!!
Not as good as train ignoring! For this week's hobby, you will need a pen, a list of all the rolling stock in Great Britain today, a blindfold - or some eyelids, a flask of weak lemon drink, and a trainspotter. Simon's trainspotter of choice is called Alan. The premise of this hobby involves standing at railway sidings with the trainspotter and waiting. When you hear a train coming, cover your eyes & apply the blindfold. Your trainspotter will tell you which train has just gone past & you can then catalogue it, keeping a record of the trains that you have now ignored. http://www.fistoffun.net/episodeguides/fistoffuntv0203.htm
RE: There's nowt like a Leyand PD3............. mind you engines could be a bit of a bugger to get out.</p> Yorkshire Traction, RIP
Why? What harm do we do? Why do people who do this for a hobby ALWAYS get the pissed ripped from them? What is wrong with the hobby? Why is it \\\'sad\\\'? A rather pissed off bus enthusiast.
RE: Why? Ok then, why do yorkshire traction manage to make every service 3 minutes late when leaving the bus station?
RE: Why? God knows ..... How they got done not so long since for running buses early is also a puzzling one.
RE: Mate, after you've done bus spotting, are you going to move on to taxi watching? I go fishing im already sad enough.
RE: Mate, after you\'ve done bus spotting, are you going to move on to taxi watching? Don\'t do taxi\'s.
RE: Do you have a model village set up in the loft? With little buses?? No i don\'t. I do have a number of Yorkshire Traction models though ... like this one here ... http://www.modelenium.co.uk/pictures/originalpics/es02.jpg Though I do feel it slightly sad that I\'m talking about this on a Barnsley FC bulletin board!
