Yet again we are treated to another inept display and i thoroughly lay the blame on Davey. The guy needs to to stop worrying so much about the opposition and concern himself with getting the best out of OUR players. After the strange decision to play Robbie Williams (a left back in central midfield ) the other week (who couldnt even make the bench yesterday) he now in his infinite wisdom decides Sam Togwell is a winger??? Has this bloke ever seen a Barnsley first team game before he took the job on? He has decimated what was a fairly decent attacking organised midfield and turned it into a shambles. He is now getting the worst out of Brian Howard who along with the best player (Mcindoe now gone) made us look a dangerous attacking team. We barely created a chance all afternoon. Kyle Reid rarely got past their full back, and Togwell didnt seem to know where he was half the time. I'll reserve judgement on Mattis. i think he tried hard and looks a box to box player but does he have enough quality for this league? we'll see. Up front neither striker looks that interested unless someone else does some work for them. This is still the same as it has ever been and desperatley needs changing. I feel sorry for Constantine if he comes because the pressure will be enormous on him. We need to bring in another big experienced striker and probably another goalscorer. Added to Coulson who shows a bit of promise we might have a strikeforce to finish the chances if we ever create any. At the back why oh why was Antony Kay left on the bench, and how on earth does Reid get the captains armband? Hassell did ok. The new guy from Man U looked off the pace in the first half allowing their winger behind him on a couple of occasions. He did improve and his passing was good but where was he for the goal? Stood next to Colgan two yards off the goal line not marking anyone. Total lack of organisation in defence and this needs to be addressed quickly. On the plus side i think Colgan, Hassell and Atkinson all did fine and Coulson when he came on. But i think Davey needs to stop playing Football manager on his PC and wake up and realise hes playing it for real!
