On my way home from work a car overtook me and went round the bend ahead. As I went round the same bend I had to brake hard to avoid debris and I watched the other car land on the other side of the road, facing the wrong way having hit a tree at speed. As I got out of my car, to see if the occupant was ok, he got out of the car and walked along the verge and phoned, not the police but his mum!

About 1½ hours later, another vehicle in front of me lost his rear right tyre, fortunately at low speed!

I hope for an uneventful drive to work tomorrow as it is possibly WCU's last day at school if he doesn't secure the exam results to get into sixth form.

    Best of luck to Will!

Glad you weren't injured and caught up in the crash yourself, mate.

Same thing happened to me about 3 months ago. Stairfoot roundabout and a car cut me up and shot up Ardsley hill at about 70 / 80mph. When I got to end of dual carriageway and around the first bend, a car was in the middle of the road on it's side.
The car had a bloke in, and two kids........... The bloke was more interested in the boot full of fags than the kids injuries.
