    If he isn't charged for all the above AND for being drunk and disorderly then South Yorkshire police will have really shown themselves to be incompetent. But we all know that they have a tendancy to turn a blind eye to criminal acts don't we Mr Morgan

    What I don't understand about this story

    Is why were there poppy wreaths at the memorial when it's almost a month to Remembrance Day.

    The lad is a nob by the way, but I think most of the blokes on here will have had a piss in a public place when drunk, a fine should suffice.


    p.s. The Sun consider it to be such a disrespectful act but think it's ok to publish a photo of it!

    And there's some poppies there, too. I don't see what difference it makes. Remembrance isn't confined to November. To deliberately urinate against a war memorial, whether drunk or not, is (in my opinion) despicable, disgusting and disrespectful to the fallen of past and present conflicts.

    This cretin might have been drunk but he knew what he was doing.It's the usual excuse isn't it "I was drunk and didn't know what I was doing."The Police state he could have been given an £80 ticket fine. What about insulting behaviour? This carries a fine and imprisonment.Perhaps 6 months in prison might sober up this moron.

    corrupt mps, rotten financial system, illegal war, erosion of civil liberties and this guy gets pilloried for being a drunken tit. great stuff. no wonder this country's in the mess it is. priorities people!

    he deserves a fine and a dressing down, but come on, most folk have had a few too many at some stage and done something (or someone) that they regret.

    no surprise it's the wonderfully interesting lives of bloody jordan and countless other nomarks is front page news instead of the real news.
