Every lad sweated blood out there for Barnsley. Up to the sending off we'd bossed the game and thoroughly deserved our lead. The goal was really well worked from one side to the other and finished off in style by Mellis. As for the sending off, I felt that Hassell had got the ball, but it appeared to be a two footed tackle and you simply can't do that these days. I accept others may have had a better view than me and could put me right with regards to the challenge.
Anyway, we won, played very well and battled like men possessed for the cause. Special mention to Cranie, Cywka & Dagnall for their particular contributions.
Well played lads, you've done us all proud.
Also, would it be possible for us all to enjoy this victory without any unnecessary sniping and sneering at one another, please?

    Fair enough, Trev

I accept I didn't see the tackle properly and the reaction of the Bristol City bench seemed to show genuine anger at the challenge. No excuses for a two footed tackle these days.
It was still a great win and performance and I'm going to savour it.

Changed rather than spoilt the game.

A "backs to the wall" effort with full final reward may well boost team spirit and confidence significantly.

And while the sending off induced dread and anxiety, there's a morbid thrilling satisfaction in holding on for victory.

    Nowt spoilt for me

Sadly, it appears not. Bugger it, it's not worth it. Beer & wine awaits. One day we'll all enjoy a victory. But apparently not today.

bit simular to doyle's red last season in my opinion and players gave same backs to the wall performance ab fab tbh.
one thing that performance says to me is that they're gonna fight for the cause and that'll ding dang do for me.

Me and my dad thought he got a slight touch. Whether or not it would have made any difference I'm not sure. But the way flicker jumped on him at the whistle made me think he must have

I thought Alnwick saved it too - and the players seemed to be congratulating him at full time more than they would for a routine clean sheet.

I pick out the same 3 players Kev - Cranie, Cywka and Dagnall - with a mention for Stones for his sub appearance too, but everyone put a shift in, and Hill got a lot right today.

Both me and my lad both thought he got a touch on it plus I liked his quick reaction when he caught the ball from that bullet cross in the dying minutes.

    Come on Kev.....

...this is the BBS and you know enjoying such a victory is NOT allowed. We must find something to gripe about.

Mine is I came to find you to show off my Atletico Madrid shirt and I couldn't find you. Proper upset I was, and it ruined the whole game for me!;)
