Thorstein Helstad.. Centre Forward. Experienced but not over the hill at 30.

Full Norwegian international, playing in the Top Norwegian league. Excellent goalscoring record at what I would say is a better standard of opposition than Mostto.
Surely within our budget as well looking at previous fees.

    Worth a look?

We could sign him and keep him on the bench for a season albeit occasionally putting him on for the last 3 minutes.

Far too many are inconsistent and find the rigours of our football too much,if you take the percentage of foreign players that come to our shores and actually do well it is very small, there was a debate about a year ago on Sky about this and it was surprising hoe few there were that made the grade in this country,I know we can all reel plenty of names off that are doing well but there plenty that dont live up to their status,2 players for Chelsea for starters Crespo and Shevchenko world class players worth millions but only average Premiership players.

Compared to the number of British signings that are a flop, Id say the numbers are pretty even. For every Andriy Shevchenko there's a Kevin Davies. It all depends on the manager's ability to spot a good player 'and' how they adapt.
