What an absolutely fantastic day we've had at Headingley...

Wonderful cricket of course, but never laughed so much in my life with all the banter, singing, drinking and everything. The beer cup snakes winding up the stewards is absolutely hilarious and got the biggest cheers of the day.

If anyone saw Superman, Captain America, Spiderman, Batman, Robin, Iron Man and the Incredible Hulk... we were sat right behind them - what legends they were! Went drinking with them as afterwards too in Headingley.

Off again tomorrow but sounds like the weather may ruin it a tad.

Anyone else go?

Can anyone explain why the hell some of the 'Green Team' kept walking onto the middle of the pitch every time West Indies lost a wicket?! We were giving em some right stick - we asked one of them in the stand and he had no idea what they were doing!

The Green Team were some sort of stewards... but it was rather confusing... a bit like a rainbow it was with stewards in orange jackets, the Green Team - surprisingly in bright green tops, and then 'supervisors' in fluorescent yellow! All very strange!

 

Captain America...........

was shown, but the big fascination for Bumble was with a guy dressed as Robin Hood

It's made me decide that I shall be wearing one next year and also will be going to more games.

I'd recommend a day at a Test to anyone, even people who are only slightly bothered about cricket, it's like a carnival.

Absolute quality.

Them lads were all from Bristol, some City and some Rovers so we had a good bit of banter!

 

I saw superman and the team on tv

i went last year to the pakistan test match and had so much fun. they had beer cup snakes that day aswell, and mexican wave where people throw all kinds of nrubbish into the air. LOL

 

Yep, a funny moment today...

Was when loads of the Green Team went to break up the snake, so everyone just threw all the cups at them, it was hilarious. Eventually they just gave up!

Just seen the Collymore drop on Sky again, right by us that was... we gave him some right stick

i went 2 ashes in winter, cricket was toss, fans were absolutley fantastic, such a goood sense of humour and aussies didnt come back at us even though it was 5-0. even aussie players applauded us before their own fans

Yep... honestly not had that much fun in ages and I've had a good old time recently.

It really was a great day. Obviously some bad fielding down by us and 11 wickets in less than 50 overs helped!

The only downer was the bar shutting for an hour and a half - they said they'd run out of beer but the barstaff said the police had ordered them to shut. Someone's a coward

Nearly caused a riot lol.

The thing about the stewarding is... there is NEVER any bother at the cricket, yet there are HUNDREDS of jobsworths there trying to spoil people's fun, but only succeed in looking like prats and increasing the laughter

They'll have made tens of thousands the rest of the day - £3 a pint and probably not far off that in profit on each one, and there must have been thousands and thousands sold!
