And I'm a fool. Suckered in by the boasts of a man with an over-inflated opinion of his abilities and a tenuous grip on reality. It was bloody obvious that what we were signing wasn't good enough. I don't know how I could have ignored the facts and be reeled in by the patter. The facts are these: the players don't possess enough quality and the manager's tactics and player selection is abysmal bordering on lunatic. Football is a simple game. Manager's never tire of telling us so. Here, then, is a simple question: What formation did we play tonight? Answers on a postcard please. 3-1 flattered us tonight. Luke Steele preventing us from conceding 5 or 6 with some excellent saves. And a Barnsley player still hasn't scored a goal in 6 hours of football. I don't think I've ever seen a Barnsley manager have such a detrimental effect on a team. And let's be reight, we weren't very good in the first place. Not that it matters like, it's only football.
We went on a good run with Spackman when he took over. He made sure relegation wasn't even a possibility. Not that I'm bigging him up because he was a terrible manager, but he didn't instantly turn us into the mess that Hill has. It took him a few months to do that.
The alarm bells are ringing! Iv paid £23 tonight to watch that garbage and i wont be going home or away any time soon unless there is a vast improvement. Middlesbrough were a class above us tonight, we were chasing shadows for long periods and just couldnt get near them. I really do fear for us unless Hill starts to make changes.
I'm interested to read what Andrew Lodge is going to say for himself. He has been complicit in this subterfuge from DAY ONE.
couldn't agree more. to say it wasn't always pretty, Robins got it done and we were hardly rolled over. this blokes changed it all abart and we're getting tonked by the likes of Morecambe. ffs.
