    From pre-season,

It did look rather like Letheren is not ready to step into the breech.

So why have we brought someone younger than him in to do just that?
It was a schoolboy error cost us the points today but if you employ schoolboys, that's what you'll get.

In all probability, the remainder of his loan spell will expire without further first-team action.  Which will mean he has cost us 3 months wages, 2 league points and was contributary to our demise in the Carling Cup.

Surely there's a journeyman keeper out there who would at least done a professional job for a few months' money.  I just don't see what's in the Mannone deal for us.

    Only ONE Point lost really

We were heading for a draw, and didn't look as though we knew how to turn it into a win.

When it came down to the last ten minutes, Luton went for it and launched quite a few high balls into the box. I was sat wondering who was the home team whilst all that was happening.

AR put an extra striker on and nothing positive happened. To be honest, nothing much happened all game.

The more I think about it, the worse it gets

It's like what the Romans did for us (but in reverse).

any chance that you might turn your posting into some logical sense. As I understand it we have not won any points but Luton have got three. So where does "Only one point lost really come into it.

Absolutely nowt. Except perhaps that I would guess almost all of his wages will be picked up by Arsenal. In other words he's cheap.
It's not just down to him though. We had ten outfield players today that gave it absolutely everything, can't fault them on effort at all. At the end most of them were dead on their feet. The problem is we have a bench that offers us no alternative (quality wise) whatsoever during games. That folks will ultimately be our achilles heel. Three players required right through the spine of the team please Mr Shepherd. Yes it will cost money we can ill afford, but so will relegation.

What I was getting at was

It was 1-1 when Vito made his mistake. Had he not dropped the catch, there is a fair chance we would have come out of the game with a point. As it is we gone NONE.

    Sorry if that wasn't clear.

    HTH,
    Stephen

Hopefully Nardiello will be back for the washday game but we need a big strong centre half

    Isn't Kyle Letheren 27?
