Came across as a proper owner of a local club with their interest's at heart. I think a lot of clubs would love to be in our position its a shame there isn't
a couple more weathy Barnsley men to join him. He seemed to make Davey position clear he will back him as long as where going in the right direction.

I took it as though if he thought he could get someone else he'd get shut.....

PS those kids who did that to his car in Leicester should be banned from Oakwell for life. Nobs.

My thoughts I posted earlier.

or Patrick Cryne statement.

The main question that needs to be answered by Mr. Cryne is about leadership. Who is leading the club??

Patrick has gone on record many times saying that he knows very little about the football business and would not want to get directly involved! However we have a situation with no proper managment structure in place. We have a part time director and a promoted general manager to act as proxy for Mr. Cryne.

Mr. Cryne, having said he did not want to get involved in the running of the club, is now 'running' the club at arms length through Mr. Rowing.

This post is in no way intended as an attack on Mr. Cryne, Mr. Rowing or the football club. As a supporter I owe an immense debt of gratitude for saving the club from collapse.

I just feel that the question of leadership and direction for the club needs to be addressed and I would have hoped the Chronc would have asked the question. I admit Ihave not asked the club myself, but as an individual I do not feel it is my place. What I hope is that the club will give more information on the leadership and direction of the club to the fans and public at large.

Come on yoooou reds!

We do require a leader because where he talks about his silence with his together campaign he's needs someone to sell it for him.

I read it that it was a mistake to sack a manager so soon after he got promotion and no one of any ability would apply for the job so they had to give it to Davy who has been saved from the sack by the FA Cup run.

I don't think he regrets sacking Ritchie.

It's very clear that Mr Cryne

Has a great deal of respect and admiration for Simon Davey. However, as he says, "Simon Davey is acutely aware that results are needed to keep him in this post and that he has few obvious friends in the fan base, but that has been the case since he succeeded the popular Andy Ritchie".
I don't think Simon Davey will lose his job in the near future, despite him having an exceptionally poor league record since being awarded his four year contract (played 36, won 8, drawn 9, lost 19, points 33). By the same token, if the results were not to improve in the next 36, then Simon Davey (or his followers) could hardly expect him to be retained as manager.

Spineless

If he is a true fan , then he needs ambition, it was demonstrated with the run up to the prem and the prem year that we can increase the fan base and income.
He seems to want stability at all costs, as a business man i find this strange as letting Davey take us back to league one will not only lose revenue but "alienate" a number of fans as well against the manager.
We are a small club , but to the fans its very important that we show passion and ambition, If Cryne continues with his "head in the sand" policy then its medicore in League 1 all the way
This is my opinion, he may not be well recieved but from talking to a number of people read the article, its seems to have been tinged with a "defeatists" attitude

I think we're very lucky

that he loves the Tarn as much as we do.

How anybody can criticise him after what he's had to put up with is beyond me.

If anybody had attacked me like those morons at Leicester I'd have said 'fook it' and walked away, and let the pondlife stew in their own juice.

RE: Spineless

I don't see how you get defeatist attitude, Cryne knows how much of a mammoth task he has and the task would
be easyer if we were all in it together. But that is a long way from happening because some fans don't believes anything
the club has to say.
