Is the fact that we failed to get one, yes, ONE shot on target in the second half. That, at Championship level is absolutely shocking. These people get paid to score goals and win matches. Correct me If I'm wrong.
RE: We ddin't get a shot in in the first half did we? nt I'm not 100% but I think we might have had an "attempt" at goal....... It was a very deep cross from the right and we had a header back towards goal that one bounced to the keeper from about 20 yards out. Wouldn't call it an attempt as such, but the stat websites might. What a pity we've been reduced to this.
Howard.Macken and Oddjob(offside) Howard.Macken and Oddjob(offside) all had shots in the first 20mins
For entire game we had three shots on target and four off target according to BBC (Cardiff had four on and six off).
RE: Something else disappoints me... You say "these people get paid to score goals and win matches." Actually they're paid to play for this club, to follow the manager's instructions and to win games if they can. Half the problem is with expectation. We are a small club in this division with relatively poor financial muscle. This is one of the least 'fashionable' towns/cities in England. And our fans are fickle beyond belief - if things aren't going our way then they'll boo our own players, even 20 minutes into a match. How can we expect career-minded footballers to develop love for a club that clearly has no positive feelings for them? Makes me SICK.
