Panic is now setting in.
The phone is not insured.
What happens to my number
I have tried to call it and it is switched off.
Now what do I do

call them directly, get them to put call barring on the number. You can lift this if you find the phone. Beyond that I'm not sure. I'm sure they'll give you some options. Just get it blocked asap.
Get the simcard blocked that you lost then............. they give you a new sim card with the same number on it! They can also transfer your number from the phonebook aswell! (Y)
phone vodafone asap and block the phone and sim, then ask them to send a replacement sim for that number (you will lose your contacts though). Otherwise you could end up with a massive bill (just ask Jackie). You are liable for any calls made until you contact Vodafone if its been nicked
Contact Vodaphone now, Tina!! You need to tell them ASAP to get the sim blocked to prevent anyone else using it.
Tina - it happened top me once Phone Vodafone immediately Phone up Vodafone and get your Phone blocked - the number is on any bill you got. They can bar the phone and simcard so no one can make calls on your behalf They can then issue you a new simcard and phone depending on how long you had the last phone you might be able to get a free one. or they will just send you a new sim which you can put in an old phone. When I had mine nicked they sent me a sim card for £10 which I put in an old phone I had until I qualified for a free new one. You can keep your number its the sim and the phone they block
RE: Tina - it happened top me once Phone Vodafone immediately Thanks to everyone
Vodafone have done exactly what you all said and I have ordered a new sim card. When it arrives I have to ring them again and they will sort out the no for me.
I don't think I can qualify for a new phone until October as I was on an 18 month contract Buggar!.
Could someone put the sim card in their phone and read all my private info, notes etc
AAAgh I could scream!
but thanks to everyone anyway and if someone finds it, as it is switched off they have to put a code in to get onto the phone, so I hope I am ok.
i do appreciate everyone's help.
What a bind.
