'What do the Barnsley supporters expect?'

Sick of hearing this from various places since Hill was sacked. Making out that we should be so grateful to be bottom of the league with only 9 wins all calendar year just because we are Barnsley FC!

 

To come away from a match happy that I've enjoyed the game!

 

I know, had the same from the father in law last night when he'd had a few and had just came in from the pub. Mind, he is a closet Man U fan who used to follow Manure when he was younger. Reckons to know about Barnsley just cos he's lived here all his life although he has hardly ever watched them. Tried arguing the toss for 5 mins as he thought he knew better and that barnsleys always been punching above its weight etc,etc, only hope to get 8000 fans etc, etc wont get any big names cos we can't pay em etc, etc. I tried to reason that we had lost nearly 8000 supporters over the last 3 boxing day fixtures and that the club should move with the times like the fans but he was having none of it. I nearly told him to shut up and just stick to glory hunting wy man u but held my tongue as we were guests in his house. Had he been at my house however......

 

Your father-in-law sounds like a ****. Hope your wife is worth it.

 

We could be buried non-league football. Not having won a game in years. On the edge of financial non-existence. Within a heart beat of the ground being turned into a grave yard. The media response would be 'over achieving Barnsley sack another manager - what do they expect?'

 

He can be when he starts droning on about manure! wasn't so gobby about Barnsley when we got to the prem mind. Wanted to use my season ticket if i couldn't get in them days....

 

Surprised Kamara didn't have a rant on his programme this morning, got the right arse on when we sacked Davey.

 

Football League show last night were terrible for sticking up for Hill. Said he had no money (why we got over 30 players then?) and that he's a good manager (9 league wins in 12 months says otherwise).

 

What do I expect. What do I ****ing expect. A manager who plays to our strengths, a manager who puts players in their positions and not out of position, a manager who has more than plan A, a manager who puts our team out not to try and avoid defeat, a manager who will hold his hands up when he dicks up. If we go down with the above then fair play he won't get stick from me, cross one of the above, then he deserves all he gets. Rant ****ing over

 

Apologies,.that's the Sunday beer rant. Although I mean what I say, it was slightly a bit more aggressive than I would have been sober. Anyway, more beer, darts is on. Best wishes all
